TRIP TO BELLINGHAM WASHINGTON

On Wednesday we left home for our trip to Bellingham Washington.  On our travels in Washington state we came upon a secondary road called Hwy 20 east.  It runs from Okanogon   Washingto to Bellingham Washington.  Along the way we passed through the towns of Twisp and Winthrop.  It is very scenic, but the road is very windy with a lot of steep up and down grades.  Because it was a windy road, it took most of the day to get to Bellingham.  Bellingham is on the Washington state coast.  We visited several parks on the ocean while we were there, the nicest being Bellingham Bay, where we had dinner, last evening.  I think it is important to visit the older historic areas of a new city.  The previous video is of Fairhaven, the oldest part of the city of Bellingham.  We only spent two nights there, but it was well worth the drive.  We hope to return in the near future.

  1. I have a huge weakness for the older parts of most towns. Older buildings have more character and, often a LOT more charm too.

  2. It is a beautiful area. To travel a few hundred miles to see something different than at home....instead of traveling half way around the world!
