The SS Sicamous, once travelled up and down Okanagan Lke.  It was a major means of transportation.  It now rests on the shores of Okanagan Lake, in Penticton, BC.

Our weather had gotten very very chilly!  When this happens, is does not snow! But...if the weather warms up...we get snow!



       

I was out removing the snow this morning.  The wind came up and blew the snow off the roof!
Then it began to snow huge flakes!

NOT MY KIND OF WEATHER!!

  I heard our tourist train yesterday!  They always have some scheduled runs around Christmas time.  In the evening when it goes out you can see the Christmas lights.    Out  house is just below where the train goes by, so at night we can see its lights!!
It looks very festive.....

DECEMBER 8 2016 CHRISTMAS TREASURES!

  

                                      

It really does not matter how the gift is wrapped.  It doesn't matter if it is Christmas or some other special occasion.  Gift wrapping can be fun or just a "PITA".  I think I have tried it all....At the moment I have settled on gift bags, as there are so many nice ones, at a reasonable cost!  But, I have done baskets with basket wrap.  (I like my own creations rather than buying one, already made)  I have made fancy bows out of paper ribbon.  I have used cardboard boxes of different shapes, for the outside of the gift.  (one year I found a box that could be folded into the shape of the gingerbread house!  My mother-in-law was a sewer, so one year she made gift bags for everyone out of  leftover material.   Whatever we decide, this can be an ongoing dilemma!
