Last evening we attended one of our little summer entertainment series.
-   This is an area by Okanagan Lake called Spirit Square. There is the gazebo, a waterpark for the children and a fenced off area for people to bring their dogs to swim. (Doggie Beach)  Last evening they had a free concert at the Gazebo.  There were at least 150 people there.  This concert series has been going on since July and features all different kinds of music.  It is a very popular Wednesday evening entertainment.  The group performing last evening was COD GONE WILD.  I have posted a video of them performing.  The fiddle player was particularly good, very good back ground music in general.

The two previous postings are a tribute to a dear friend.  The Conway Twitty version of Clinging To A Saving Hand, was always his favorite.  The Coon Creek Girls, follows a close second.  Both songs were played at his funeral.

This is an image of the cat I have been speaking about.  It has finally decided to come back into my home.  It has been managed by my mom, because of the intruder that was next door.
 We have personality plus when we have a cat.
 The weather here has been very hot.  I have bought a new ceiling fan for the bedroom, to make things more bearable.  Well, the cat has decided a nice fan over the bed is a very nice feature.   It has returned to lounge on the bed.   (until the next time I do something it does not like!)

PEACH FEST A LOCAL EVENT

Peach Fest is a local event held in Penticton British Columbia.  They have many events for the Festival and entertainment.  Today, was the first day.  I have posted a video from youtube, showing our RCAF SnowBirds in Action!  It was a very good air show.  I have seen them before, but each performance always seems more spectacular.  It was well worth going to see them.

STORY OF TWO CATS

  The story of two cats....Last week a young cat wandered into my yard.  I tried to take it to the SPCA but they had no kennels left, so temporarily I am looking after the kitten.  It definitely had a home...I have put up posters in the neighborhood.  It has been neutered and is wearing a collar.   The bottom picture looks like the visitor.

My cat, Goldie, is beside itself.  It is spitting and hissing at the interloper!  Thank goodness for my mom, who is trying to keep my cat occupied, while we have this house guest.  It is very cute, but a disruption.  I would love to find its owner, as it was obviously a wanted Kitty.  So far, I have not seen any lost kitty posters in our area.  No one has called the SPCA looking for it either.  The SPCA monitors missing pet websites, as they too, want to get a missing pet to their home....

Wish me luck in reuniting this lost kitty to its owner!

BC DAY!

Today is BC Day!  If you are working you get a day off....(basicly)  When I worked it was my day off so I chose a day, in lieu of.

Funny, how your ideas change....We so looked forward to our days off, when we are working....now...just another day of the week.  Sometimes, it is hard to keep one day straight from the next....LOL!
