Giants Head Mountain is located close to town. ( View from the top) Valley and Okanagan lake.
There are two trails that take you to the top of the mountain. It is an extinct volcano.
You can drive part of the way, then take the trail to the top. It is considered to be a park, and was dedicated in 1967, as a Canadian Centennial project. There is a Cairn at the top with a time capsule of that era. It is to be opened in 100 years.

Giants Head is very dramatic. The time capsule will be opened 100 years from 1967, as it will be Canada's 200th anniversary of Confederation.
