PREVIOUS BLOG POST: SEA FEVER BY JOHN MASEFIELD

I was thinking, today, about poems that I have liked, through the years.  Sea Fever came to mind....It was one of the poems we had to memorize in school...and it stuck with me.
When I looked it up on Google, I found it read by several people, as well as the author, himself.  I have posted my favorite of the readings.  I also found a few musical arrangements that used the words for a song.

  1. I read (and cannot remember where) that poetry is the language of the heart.
And the very best poetry (and this is one of them) gets my heart beating rhythmically with their words.

  2. It is certainly one of the great ones. (and, I certainly like the Iambic pentameter)
