I really did get a kick out of the list! One though, I did not agree with, was Barry McGuire, He also had Eve of Destruction, it was big here because of the Vietnam war!! I had the 45 of They're coming to take me away, Ha Ha, on the reverse side, they had recorded it backwards, which was a hoot, or at least we thought so at the time! LOL
I was a spring chicken in the 60s and am surprised at how many of these are firmly burned into my brain.
